On October 26, 2026, Domingo Treviño Middle School GEAR UP parents and facilitators participated in a Youth Mental Health Workshop at Region One Education Service Center (ESC).
The workshop provided participants with valuable information and strategies to better understand and support the mental health and well-being of young people. Attendees learned how to recognize signs of mental health challenges in youth, respond with care and understanding, and connect students with appropriate support services and resources.
This experience highlighted the importance of creating a strong support system for our students, both at school and at home. By equipping parents and facilitators with the knowledge and tools to recognize and address mental health concerns, GEAR UP continues to promote a supportive environment where students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
At Domingo Treviño Middle School, we recognize that preparing students for a successful future goes beyond academics. Supporting their overall well-being is an essential part of helping them reach their full potential.
💚 Together, we are building a stronger support system for our students and investing in their future success!
