La Joya, TX - For La Joya ISD, building strong schools begins with building a strong team.

On Thursday, September 3, La Joya ISD welcomed prospective employees to its 2026 Job Fair, connecting job seekers with opportunities to bring their talents, experience and passion to a district focused on serving students and strengthening schools.

Held at the La Joya ISD Wellness Gym, the event gave prospective employees an opportunity to connect directly with district representatives, learn more about available career opportunities and discover what it means to be part of the La Joya ISD team.

More than simply filling positions, the Job Fair was part of the district’s continued effort to recruit individuals who want to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students.

“Every person we bring into La Joya ISD becomes part of the work we are doing for our students,” said Patrick Smith, Deputy Chief of Human Capital & Talent Development for La Joya ISD. “Whether someone is serving in a classroom, on a campus or in one of the many departments that support our schools, every role matters. We want talented, committed people who believe in our students and want to grow alongside our district.”

The event comes as La Joya ISD continues working to strengthen its workforce and ensure campuses and departments have the people and resources necessary to support students every day.

That work is especially important as the district moves forward with Achieving Excellence Together: 2030, its strategic plan focused on improving student outcomes and strengthening the systems that support educational excellence throughout La Joya ISD.

“Our employees are at the heart of everything we do as a district,” added Smith. “A job fair like this gives us an opportunity to meet people personally, learn about what they can bring to La Joya ISD and show them the many ways they can build a career here while making an impact on students and families.”
